Chef’s House

We had already designed this chef’s flagship restaurant so the collaboration was seamless.

The house is a modest suburban structure built in 1950. The rooms were small and dark, the organization of rooms less than ideal. Without adding any square footage to the footprint of the house, we revamped the character of the house by clearing out the tiny kitchen and dining room to make room for a huge new kitchen that runs from the front of the house to the back.

We added as many windows as we could, flooding the space with natural light. A new front porch and back deck expanded the living space and made the house a perfect summer party location.
